Gypsy Rose Blanchard is two months into the newborn phase with her daughter, Aurora Raina, and lovin’ it! Rose welcomed her first child with Ken Urker in December, almost to her prison release anniversary. The new mom revealed to PEOPLE that she gave birth in 15 minutes, but there were some surprises along the way!

Gypsy Rose Blanchard Recalls Her Birth Story
Blanchard described her birth experience as “amazing.” Her daughter is eight weeks old now and was born at 36 weeks. At first, they were choosing to have an elective induction on Janaury 16th to include Ken’s mother at the birth. But Baby Aurora had other other plans for Mama Gypsy Rose. After much dilating, her 35th-week check-in at the doctor escalated to later giving birth at 36 weeks and three days. “…My water partially broke and I went to the hospital and by the time I got there, I was five and a half, six centimeters,” Rose shared. After that, doctors gave her an epidural and a Pitocin drip and then Blanchard went into labor.
“I didn’t feel anything. No screaming, no nothing,” she says. “We just pushed and within 15 minutes she was born,” she said.
The couple has yet to reveal Aurora’s face, even with giving PEOPLE the exclusive on her birth experience. However, Ken shared a photo of the new family at the hospital. Gypsy Rose appeared to be breastfeeding her newborn.
Rekindled Romance Led To Motherhood
In her one year free, Rose went from being married to Ryan Anderson to separating from him, moving in with her father and his wife, and finalizing their divorce. Rose haShe then reconnected with Ken after dating him while behind bars. Their friendship rapidly progressed from a fun day out in New Orleans to rekindling their romance. Now, the couple is raising Aurora and seemingly enjoying their fresh start!
Rose doesn’t seem to have any active social media, but Ken does. The couple enjoyed their first postpartum date night in late Janaury, according to his feed.
Additionally, on Valentine’s Day, Ken Urker seemingly surprised his lady with red roses, chocolate-covered strawberries, and chocolates. In the caption, he wrote, “Beyond excited to spend this day with you! Happy Valentines Day Gyps ❤️.”
