Teyana Taylor‘s mom, Nikki Taylor, has spoken out after her and Iman Shumpert‘s reported divorce terms sparked chatter online.

As The Shade Room previously reported, in June 2024, theJasmineBRAND published an exclusive report asserting that Taylor and Shumpert had finalized their divorce. In the report, the brand asserted that Taylor would retain four properties with a total value of $10 million. Meanwhile, Shumpert would retain his condo in Miami and two Georgia properties.
Additionally, Shumpert would reportedly make a 7-figure payment to Taylor in conjunction with him paying a monthly child support of $8,000. As for vehicles, Taylor reportedly retained a plethora of luxury vehicles.
On Thursday, March 13, reports reiterating this information published by The Music Essentials and The Express Tribune appeared to turn heads online. Subsequently, a plethora of commentary was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Teyana Taylor’s Mom Speaks Out
On Thursday, journalist and ‘Breakfast Club’ co-host Loren Lorosa shared a statement from Nikki Taylor via X in response to the public chatter.
“It’s awful strange that the case is sealed, from a divorce that was finalized in July 1, 2024; but all of this information as to what she allegedly got is public this week? what about the other party received? Let’s be crystal clear, BOTH parties walked with the properties, vehicles and businesses that they obtained separately,” she reportedly stated.
In addition, Nikki hopped into The Shade Room’s comment section to expand on her thoughts.
“I see some of my comment was left out, causing it to be misconstrued. I posted a comment elsewhere. However I was extremely clear in my comment. Somehow people are still not clear that the story is BS. Bottom line is, this case is sealed. Therefore, information like this can only be put out there from either of the parties involved. Weirdly, this information just surfaced out of nowhere almost a year later after the divorce has been finalized since July 1, 2024. The bottom line is, the only thing awarded to both parties was what they paid for out of their own pockets. She walked with what she paid for on her own and he walked with what he paid for. That’s it, that’s all. I hope this is clear now. End of report,” she added.

As The Shade Room previously reported, earlier this month, Taylor turned heads after posting a carousel of photos alongside Aaron Pierre.
