By now we all know that Mary J Blige has filed for divorce from her husband Martin “Kendu” Issacs after 12 years of marriage.
Recently news broke that he was looking to receive spousal support from Mary, although in her documents she wants the court to block that demand. However, things can be getting a little messier.
According to TMZ, Issacs may be looking to have their prenup thrown out. Mary’s lawyer has filed documents asking a judge to solidify the terms of their prenup. She drew up her prenup back in December of 2003 and was married two days later.
However, Issacs lawyer has called their prenup “immensely invalid, unenforceable and unconscionable.”
So if the judge pretty much approves their existing prenup, everyone will be granted what they deserve. However, if the judge decides to throw it out, then they might be in for a roller coaster ride.
