Okay #Roommates brace yourselves for this one! #LHHATL star Karen King is currently facing charges stemming from her shopping spree trip at Saks Fifth Ave, on someone else’s credit card. The reality star is currently one charge for identity fraud, and two for credit card fraud. It looks like being on T.V won’t work in Karen’s favor because prosecutors are trying to show the jury Karen’s extensive criminal history record in order to send her away for the maximum time. #Petty
According to The Jasmine Brand, between 1980-2005 Karen has been convicted of armed robbery and burglary, grand theft, counterfeit money, and trafficking counterfeit goods, which she’s on trial for now.
Prosecutors aren’t playing around with Karen, they want her to receive the maximum punishment possible for the crime because of her crazy track record. Each charge carries a mandatory sentence behind bars for one year, so if Karen is convicted on all three she’s looking at 3 years.
If you don’t remember Karen allegedly opened up a credit card in someone else’s name and tried to spend almost $5k at Saks Fifth Avenue!
