Looks like Chris Bosh is experiencing drama on and off the court… and if you thought it was baby mama drama, you guessed it! Word on the street is Bosh will be going head to head with the producers of VH1’s hit show “Basketball Wives LA” in order to keep his baby mama quiet!
So back in August, Allison Mathis sued her baby zaddy Chris Bosh after she alleged that he interfered with her Basketball Wives checks since she believes she was let go from the show because of him. She detailed that back in 2011, Bosh had sued Shed Media, the production company behind #BBWLA, and had arranged a settlement agreement with them. Mathis alleged that almost immediately after this, she was let go from the show. Word is Bosh never wanted her to appear on the show in the first place because he feared that she would “infringe on his trademarks and publicity rights.” It was so bad he aint’t even want his name to be mentioned on the show!
Well according to The Jasmine Brand, Bosh countered her lawsuit last month and sent a subpoena over to Shed Media requesting them to send a “copy of all raw footage from the Basketball Wives series that includes images of Allison Mathis.” Bosh also reportedly stated that if Shed Media doesn’t fork over the documents the company can be held in contempt of court and get sanctioned.
The whole point is that Mathis wants Bosh to cough up $250k that she was to expected to earn from being on the show. She actually changed her original request to seek punitive damages which, in Florida, could amount to close to $2 million! The pair has also been wrapped up in a nasty custody/ support battle over their daughter Trinity but were fortunate enough to reach an agreement last year.
Bosh was recently let go from the Miami Heat after failing his physical due to blood clot complications. We can see why he doesn’t need anymore stress in his life! Lets chat below!
