Crystal Renay and Ne-Yo recently reunited to send their two sons, Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr. and Roman-Alexander Raj Smith, off for their first day of school.

Crystal Renay & Ne-Yo Reunite To Send Their Sons Off For Their First Day Of School
On Monday, August 4, Renay took to Instagram to share with her more than 600,000 followers that the date marked the start of another school year for her and Ne-Yo’s two boys. Note that Shaffer is 9 years old, Roman-Alexander is 7 years old, and the pair also shares a four-year-old daughter named Isabella.
Furthermore, one clip shared by Renay seemingly showed Ne-Yo walking their youngest son into a classroom while another showed her recording as they seemingly walked their oldest to his classroom. In addition, Renay’s post included a photo of her and Ne-Yo grinning ear to ear alongside their boys.

Social Media Applauds The Pair
Social media users hopped into The Shade Room’s comment section to applaud Crystal Renay and Ne-Yo for reuniting on behalf of their sons’ first day of school. As The Shade Room previously reported, their seven-year marriage came to an end amid Renay learning he fathered a son outside of their relationship with a woman named Sade Bagnerise. To note, Ne-Yo would go on to father a second son with Bagnerise in 2023, per The Shade Room.
Before Ne-Yo Reunited With Crystal Renay For Their Sons’ First Day, He Made Headlines Alongside One Of His Girlfriends
Outside of making headlines for his daddy duties, Ne-Yo has also been making headlines for living his best romance life. As The Shade Room previously reported, in February, the singer turned heads when news that he added a fourth woman to his polyamorous lineup surfaced. Furthermore, the woman, known as Bri, one of his professional backup dancers, debuted their romance on New Year’s Eve with an Instagram post.
Bri appears to be the latest woman to join his girlfriends, Bella, Arielle Hill, and Phoenix.
In July, Bri celebrated their romance with a heartfelt social media post.
