Sitting down with Justin Laboy, Coi Leray spoke candidly about one of the hardest chapters in her personal and professional life. In January, Coi shared on social media that it was painful to be cheated on during her pregnancy. She now regrets making that vulnerable situation so public
“I honestly wish I didn’t go public with it because it created so much more problems in my life personally, especially with the father of my” the artist said. “Cause I don’t wish bad on nobody right but I was pregnant, I was vulnerable and I was fucked up. It was a hard time to get through.”
Coi explained that putting God first and leaning on her strong support system allowed her to get through the period. Additionally, music helped process the betrayal, she said. On her recent project, she addressed the pain directly in the track ‘Keep It,’ where she raps about disloyalty, heartbreak, and reclaiming her strength after being let down by someone who was supposed to bring her peace.
Coi Leray Addresses Co-Parenting With Trippie Redd
When asked about co-parenting and her current relationship with Trippie Redd, Coi said: “Just co-parenting, we are still new parents but just trying to figure it out, literally.”
Leray admitted that they’re not friends, and that their communication is strictly about their daughter Miyoko. However, she also revealed that Trippie had recently taken care of their baby girl a few weeks ago. She also confirmed that she is currently single but admitted there’s someone she has her eye on.
