Kevin Tried It & The Judge Shut It Down
According to new legal docs snatched by TMZ, the judge denied Kevin’s motion to proceed as a so-called “friend” of Wendy’s. But, the judge left the door cracked for him to refile — this time, without dragging Wendy into it. And, she made it clear during a call-in to TMZ Live that she wants no parts. Wendy even admitted she doesn’t even know how much money she has in her accounts right now. For context, Wendy is under guardianship after Wells Fargo froze her accounts in 2022 due to “suspicious activity” — and Kevin swears it’s a setup, claiming she’s being exploited.
Social Media Has Wendy’s Back
Social media wasted zero time running to the TMZ comment section, and let’s just say — Kevin Hunter caught all the smoke. People were dragging him left and right, with some telling him to “go get a job” instead of dipping back into Wendy’s business. Others were baffled at the audacity, asking why he, of all people, thought he should be the one questioning her guardianship after everything he allegedly put her through.

The Backstory Behind Wendy’s Guardianship Drama
Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter’s messy 21-year marriage officially ended in 2020. This latest lawsuit just felt like another chapter in their ongoing drama. Wendy called it a cash grab from the jump, and with the judge tossing the case, Kevin was left back at square one. However, as previously reported, court documents revealed that Wendy underwent a medical evaluation, including numerous medical and neuropsychological tests and brain scans.
Though the paperwork didn’t specify, sources confirmed Wendy was once again diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and aphasia, the same devastating diagnosis she received in 2023. Because of this, her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, requested that the court extend the guardianship through November 5, with medical experts concluding Wendy does not currently have the capacity to make her own decisions.
