Tami Roman has sparked mixed reactions after revealing that she won’t allow her daughter Jazz Anderson‘s girlfriend to attend her graduation.

Tami Roman Reveals She Won’t Allow Her Daughter Jazz Anderson’s Girlfriend To Attend Her Graduation
On October 10, a new episode of Kandi and Riley Burruss’s podcast, ‘Burruss Banter,’ was released via YouTube, featuring the mother-daughter pair. About 59 minutes into the episode, Anderson revealed that her girlfriend, whom she’s been dating for six months, isn’t allowed to attend her graduation. Furthermore, Tami seemingly explained that she created the boundary because she doesn’t really “understand” Jazz’s choice to be with a woman.
“So I have to take a step back and figure out how it works for me and how I can be comfortable in that moment because there’s something called mental health that we have to be concerned about, and I’ve got to be concerned about mine. Even though I’m trying to walk with her and love her, I still have to do what’s right for me as well,” Roman explained.
At that point, Kandi replied with, “Okay, but you’re not graduating; she is, so it’s really not about your life. It’s about her life.”
Anderson explained that her mom’s decision puts her in a space where she has to “pick” between Roman and her girlfriend. Subsequently, Roman made it clear that she doesn’t feel her daughter has to pick. However, if Jazz wanted her girlfriend to be present at her graduation, she won’t be showing up.
“Sharing this moment with her? And she not gon’ be here in 4 months?! I don’t know. So I’m not going to do it to myself. So she cannot come!” Roman emphasized.
Tami Roman went on to explain that she previously went out of her way to accept her daughter’s past girlfriend, and now the girl is “no longer here.” In turn, Kandi pointed out that Roman has accepted her daughter, Lyrics’s, boyfriends and “they’ve gone about their business” with no problem.
