It is officially award season, and one of the biggest nights in music is right around the corner. Unfortunately a few nominated artists may not be making an appearance that night.
According to TMZ, Kanye West, Drake and Justin Bieber have reportedly made plans not to attend the 59th annual Grammy Awards.
Each of the three artists have their own reasons as to why they skipping out on the award show. A source said that allegedly Justin Bieber “doesn’t think the Grammys are relevant or representative, especially when it comes to young singers.”
He has been nominated for a total of four awards, which include “Song of the Year,” and “Album of the Year.”
Drake on the other hand has been nominated for a total of eight awards, but he is expected not to make an appearance due to his tour. He recently started his, “Boy Meets World,” tour overseas.
Kanye West on the other hand started dropping warnings months ago. Back in October he talked about boycotting the award show if Frank Ocean wasn’t nominated for his latest album, “Blonde.”
Even though the singer never submitted the project for Grammy consideration.
Kanye has been nominated for eight awards as well, and already has a total of 21 awards he has won.
These artists can always change their minds, so only time will tell.
