Tomi Lahren is reportedly suing her former employer Glenn Beck after she was “permanently banned,” from The Blaze.
According to Fox News, Lahren filed a lawsuit in Dallas County on Friday as her show was canceled after she made comments on ABC’s talk-show “The View,” indicating that she was pro-choice.
Back in March Lahren said on the show, “I am someone that’s for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think the government should decide what women do with their bodies.”
According to the Dallas Morning News, “The Blaze” continues to pay Lahren, the lawsuit reportedly says, “presumably hoping they could find an exit strategy to sanitize their unlawful conduct” in breaking Lahren’s two-year employment contract, which was to extend through September 30th.
A spokesman from The Blaze responded to the lawsuit and said, “It is puzzling that an employee who remains under contract (and is still being paid) has sued us for being fired, especially when we continue to comply fully with the terms of our agreement with her.”
Reportedly the lawsuit says that Lahren is allegedly also being kept out of her Facebook page where she has 4.2 million followers.
Lahren is asking that a judge grants her a temporary restraining order, which will allow her to speak freely, as well as stop The Blaze from destroying any evidence of what caused their rift.
She is also looking to have her lawyer’s fees paid for.
