FBI Director James B. Comey got the boot today, according to the White House.
“Today, President Donald J. Trump informed FBI Director James Comey the he has been terminated and removed from office,” the statement reads.
According to the Washington Post, Comey’s firing comes just hours after the FBI told Congress that Comey “misstated important findings in the Hillary Clinton email investigation during his testimony last week, saying that only a “small number” of emails had been forwarded to congressman Anthony Weiner, not the hundreds and thousands he’d claimed in his testimony.”
