Diddy Caught On Video Using Cellphone In Prison
Diddy was caught on video appearing to use a cellphone while in prison at FCI Fort Dix, according to NBC News. Not only that, but alleged details also emerged about the music mogul’s luxurious lifestyle behind bars inside the New Jersey prison. The news comes amid reports that Diddy’s release date was moved up to January 21, 2028.
According to the report, Diddy is living large in prison. The 56-year-old reportedly pays for Chinese-style massages and cognac. In addition, the founder of Bad Boys Records has men who allegedly do his laundry and make his bed.

“This is not some normal sh*t you see in jail,” a former prison-mate of Diddy’s said, per the outlet. “This is some rich sh*t…. It looks crazy. But again, it’s Diddy.”
The allegations reportedly come from other inmates who spent time with Diddy at Fort Dix, and they contend that the billionaire spends thousands of dollars monthly to maintain his lifestyle behind bars.
Per the report and sources, Diddy allegedly uses contraband cellphones to scan sexually explicit pictures sent to him by an ex-girlfriend.
As reported by The Shade Room, the billionaire was sentenced to 50 months in prison for violating the Mann Act. He was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and sentenced to five years of supervised release and a $500,000 fine, in addition to the 50-month sentence.
The conviction stemmed from a 2024 sexual assault lawsuit filed by his ex, Cassie Ventura. Diddy’s sex parties — known as freak-offs — were revealed in the complaint. The freak-offs were parties where the former couple engaged in sexual activity with sex workers. In addition, a video of Diddy beating Ventura in a hotel hallway also went viral. Diddy denied the sexual assault accusations but settled the lawsuit and apologized to Ventura for the beating in a video.
Diddy Also Has Men Cook And Clean For Him In Prison
The sources also claimed that Diddy pays a man to clean the shower area and toilet for him. Diddy also allegedly receives special meals cooked for him in prison — including pizza, empanadas, and even curry chicken. Other inmates reportedly cook the meals for the ‘Act Bad‘ artist.
“After a while, I got tired of cooking,” said the man. “He started going to the Jamaicans.”
Diddy also reportedly pays for an antidepressant drug called Remeron for its mood-lifting qualities. They are also known as rem-roms, and in addition, the recording artist gets contraband such as Hennessy. The inmates added that Diddy has been getting perks since he arrived at Fort Dix. NBC News also included pictures of Diddy’s meals in a second video.
“Pretty much the day he arrived, the party started,” said one man. “You can pretty much get anything except a key to the front door and a female.”
The Federal Bureau of Prisons issued a statement saying that contraband “remains a constant challenge.”
“Like all correctional agencies, contraband, particularly cell phones, narcotics, and weapons, remains a constant challenge,” reads the statement. “And we continue to tackle the problem of contraband being introduced into our facilities.”
Fans’ Reactions Are Mixed
Fans reacted to the clip on NBC News Instagram page, and most folks weren’t surprised by the footage.
@athletics2.o wondered, “What about the guy recording it?”
User @thatladyemma joked, “He’s doordashing his next shipment of baby oil.”
@bluerose6950 added, “He’s probably ordering more baby oil from Amazon prime 😂.”
The Shade Room reported that Diddy’s release date was pushed back in November 2025 for consuming alcohol, as well as in August 2026 for an alleged prison fight. It’s unclear if his prison release date will change based on the latest information, but Diddy’s rep. Juda Engelmayer, told USA TODAY and NBC News that he follows prison rules.
“The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs’s life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news,” said Engelmayer. “The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence within the rules and he patiently awaits the court’s decision on his appeal.”
