Coco Jones is speaking out after she was accosted by a woman’s racist comments during a recent photoshoot. Jones was in New York City shooting a vlog during Fashion Week when the incident occurred, and she shared the footage on Tuesday, October 20.

Woman Spews Racist Words At Coco Jones During Photoshoot
Jones was in New York City during Fashion Week minding her business when a woman shouted at her. The incident happened during a photoshoot for Jones’ vlog titled ‘NYFW Vlog: Front Row, Fits & Behind the Scenes.’
Jones shared a clip on YouTube, and it captures the racist woman interrupting the shoot to yell racial comments at the artist. The 28-year-old singer remained professional during the photoshoot, despite the racist woman’s rude invasion, which happens at the 6:14 mark. Text over the clip also reads, “*tw: racism*.” As Jones poses for shots, the woman begins screaming that she’s “disgusting” and “Black” for no apparent reason.

“Ew! Disgusting,” shouted the racist woman before exclaiming, “God! You look so freaking Black!”
Jones looked at the woman and issued her a blunt response. “Thank you,” she replied with a smile. “I’m Black and proud.” After that, Jones effortlessly moves the photoshoot further down the street.
Fans Praise Jones For Her Classy Reaction
Fans complimented Jones on her classy response on TSR’s Instagram page. Several Roomies also noted how different they would have handled the situation while others issued jokes about the matter.

Coco Is Recently Married!
As reported by The Shade Room, Coco Jones married Cleveland Cavaliers’ shooting guard Donovan Mitchell back in August 2026. The couple were married on Saturday, August 1, and footage captured the happy couple as they danced at the reception. Both the bride and the groom wore all-white, and Jones added a lace veil to her wedding gown.
Jones also shared photos of the wedding on Instagram with the caption: “You are more than I ever knew to ask God for, and I get the gift of loving you for a lifetime.”
