Yung Miami Drops ‘Dear JT’
Caresha Brownlee, otherwise known as rapper Yung Miami, dropped her track ‘Dear JT‘ on Thursday, October 22. The song is about her friendship and falling out with former City Girls’ member Jatavia Johnson, aka JT. The track is on Yung Miami’s album ‘Watch Dis‘, which was released on Friday.
Brownlee and JT used to be the hip-hop duo City Girls, but the ladies got into a very public feud back in 2024. According to Complex, it popped off on X after Yung Miami accused JT of dissing her.

“A b*tch been sneak dissing me for weeks and I ain’t say sh*t what a b*tch mad at me fa?????!!!!!!… I ain’t jealous of a soul l’m always like go b*tch go!!! I clap for everybody I show love to EVERYBODY !! it ain’t a b*tch I haven’t shown love to!!!!!!”
JT replied:
“Oh Ms.mama this your LAST day playing dumb!”
Things escalated from there, and the two haven’t spoken in two years. The lyrics to Brownlee’s new track reference the ladies’ feud, and she seems to regret their public falling out.
“JT, we done came a long way︱From matchin’ pink sets to big jets to writin’ checks︱Before the City Girls, way before Caresha Please︱It was you and me at Ponita house trying to make ends meet︱You know how the crib be…︱Letter to my friend ’cause I know they got a narrative︱Fallin’ out with my sister in public, so embarrassing︱When you went in, I held it down, no comparison︱Now we ain’t seeing eye to eye, I wonder why︱When you was dead wrong, I used to act blind︱We used to get our periods at the same time.”

Yung Miami Speaks On JT Relationship
The new track has fans hoping for a City Girls’ reunion. However, Yung Miami recently told Fly Guy DC that she and JT hadn’t spoken in two years, as reported by The Shade Room. During a recent interview on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ Brownlee compared her long-time relationship with JT to a marriage.
“I think that when it comes to me and JT, I felt like it was a marriage, right? You meet somebody, y’all fallin’ love, sh*t happen, y’all break up, y’all get a divorce,” she said. “It could be ugly or it could be good. It could be one that y’all just get a divorce and y’all move on. Or it could be one that we fight in front of the public. And I think that it was one of those situations where like, you know, we childhood friends, that love is always going to be there.”
