Christensen Allegedly Denies Daughter And Abandons Two Sons For Casino
In addition to allegedly leaving her 4-year-old daughter in the truck stop parking lot, Christensen is also accused of abandoning her two sons for a casino. Subsequently, a joint investigation between the Neosho Police Department and the Newton County Sheriff’s Office led to identifying Christensen.
Christensen’s SUV was found by the Wyandotte Nation Police Department in Wyandotte, Oklahoma. The 34-year-old mother reportedly went to Oklahoma to go to the casino. Not only is she accused of leaving her daughter at the truck stop, but Christensen is also accused of leaving her two sons in the vehicle while she was inside. Furthermore, upon being questioned by the police after the two boys were found unattended, she denied having a daughter, per an affidavit obtained by Law&Crime.
“As [the victim’s] mother and person legally responsible for her care, [Christensen] left four-year-old JV1 with the purpose of wholly abandoning her under circumstances likely to result in serious physical injury or death, as evidenced by knowingly driving away, failing to return, and later denying that she had a daughter.”
Subsequently, Christensen was arrested and charged with second-degree child abandonment. In addition, she was charged with three counts of child abuse or neglect.
