Ladies—and gents—or favorite chocolate zaddy is coming to Netflix! Actor #IdrisElba just signed on to work on the Netflix adaptation for “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”
Elba is set to star in, direct, produce, and write original music for the film. He will play Quasimodo who falls in love with the gypsy Esmeralda. According to @TheHollywoodReporter, ‘Hunchback’ “will be a modern day reimagining of Victor Hugo’s classic gothic novel.”
@TheHollywoodReporter describes the production as a “sonic and musical experience,” so Elba’s music is expected to play a prominent role.
