The tragic incident happened while the Afrobeats star was away in Los Angeles attending the 2018 BET Awards this weekend.
The news was confirmed by a family friend to BBC. D’banj took to his Instagram yesterday and left this message: “Trying Times ????????. But my God is Always and Forever Faithful ????.”
