#TSRPolitics: The #SupremeCourt has upheld #Trump’s travel ban that is largely argued to target #Muslims. The vote was close, with Chief Justice #JohnRoberts voting in favor of the #conservative majority, saying the proclamation is “within the scope of Presidential authority,” CNN reports.
The ban restricts entry from seven countries to varying degrees: Iran, North Korea, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Venezuela. And of course, Donnie boasted about the ruling on Twitter calling it a “tremendous victory for the American People and the Constitution.”
House Democratic Caucus Chairman #JoeCrowley says today’s decision “will be remembered as one where the Supreme Court of the United States legitimized discrimination and religious intolerance. He also called the ban “deeply shameful.”
