Move over #Belle and #Ariel, there’s a new princess coming to the #Disney universe and her name is “Sade.” The movie by the same name will feature a live-action fairy tale about a young African princess, Deadline reports.
In the movie, Sade will defend her kingdom against a mysterious evil force with her newly-discovered magical warrior powers.
This is a first for Disney as Sade will be Disney’s only African female lead. The movie has no director yet but it will be produced by “Dope” director Rick Famuyiwa.
