In an all-new interview, Charlamagne Tha God sat down and chopped it up with Gucci Mane and talked about the transformation we’ve all seen him go through throughout the years, his love for his wife Keyshia Kaior and so much more.
During the interview, he talked about married life and how it has changed him. When asked when did he finally realize that Keyshia was the one, he said, “When she held me down in prison, I said I’m finna marry her. You ain’t gonna find nobody who’s gonna go hard like that, but she had been shown me who she was. Like once I got to know her, I knew who she was.”
Gucci continued, “I started linking being married and being responsible with being successful. Instead of linking being single or being irresponsible as balling.”
Many of us have witnessed Gucci Mane change his life for the better, and he also shared the moment he knew that he wanted to change his lifestyle and start making better decisions.
“I felt like when I got the three years instead of the 20 years, that was like God telling me ‘hey man I gave you the last chance that you asked for.’ It was almost to the point like God if you make this situation manageable for me, I’m going to treat it like it’s my last chance. And when it happened, it was like I can’t play.”
During the interview, they also touched on the misunderstanding he had with the Migos earlier this year. When asked how often does he apologize, Gucci said, “often.” However, he quickly made it clear that he was not apologizing to Charlamagne’s Breakfast Club co-host Angela Yee.
The issue stems from an interview that took place back in 2016 when Gucci alleged that Angela tried to come on to him. She denied those claims, and since, it has been rumored that he is banned from their show. During a recent show, the matter arose again where they tried to get to the bottom of the issue during a segment of “Club Court,” and Gucci obviously didn’t appreciate it. Causing him to not only call out Angela Yee but also DJ Envy.
