Wednesday night’s game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Philadelphia 76er’s was definitely one to see as Karl Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid were ejected after putting the paws on each other during the third quarter.
According to ESPN, both players are known to talk trash to each other, and things finally erupted during Wednesday’s game. Mark Ayotte, the officials’ crew chief, talked to reporters after the game and said, We deemed the altercation a fight. Therefore, by rule, they’re both ejected. I just saw them each lock arms. And that escalated to the fight.”
In the end, the Sixer’s ended up taking the win, defeating the Timberwolves 117-95. Joel who was completely unbothered by the scuffle took to social media after his team’s win and said “Great team win!!! I was raised around lions and a cat pulled on me tonight.”
However, things did not end there, Anthony also made a post to his social media after the game. In a post, he shared photos of their fight, and also a photo of Joel crying from a previous game and said, “I ain’t no b*tch, raised around lions cap.”
Joel then responded in his Instagram story after he claimed that his comment was either deleted or hidden. He said, “Imagine talking after a 20 pts loss. You hate to see it lmao. Go ahead using that pic of me caring about losing in the second round OF THE PLAYOFFS. Oh, wait you’ve never been there. You don’t know what it is like. No cap boy finally won 3 games and he’s talking and I know you ain’t talking. You’ve been p*ussy your whole life. That’s why you were treated like a b*tch by you know who. I ain’t gonna put your business out but I got the facts about you. Don’t get it twisted, I OWN YOU.”
