Roommates, we are praying for Angie Martinez, who is reportedly set to undergo a four hour surgery on her vertebras, after being involved in a a severe car accident on Monday morning.
Angie revealed she had been hurt in an Instagram post, saying she suffered extreme injuries, and will be taking an extended period of time to recover. Despite being hurt, Angie seemed to be in good spirits, thanking her angels for being with her and keeping her alive.
“I was in a severe car accident and sustained a fractured lumbar and shattered vertebra,” she wrote. “I’m recovering and will be for some time, but I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to do that.”
Angie continued, letting her fans know that although she’s going through a “difficult time” right now, she’s using her lemons to make lemonade.
“Wanted you all to hear it from me first and know that although this is a difficult time, I am in the best spirts possible an determined to be better and better than ever soon!,” she said. “God bless and I deeply appreciate all love and prayers.”
Although we are glad to know Angie Martinez is managing her injuries well, the car accident comes at a unfortunate time. Just a few weeks back, Angie’s TV series “Untold Stories of Hip-Hop” premiered on WeTV, and she has been doing press about the show since its release.
No other details regarding Angie’s accident have been revealed at this time, but she has receded an outpour of love from many of the people’s lives she has touched. From her family at Power 105.1, the artists she has worked with, friends, and fans, people are praying her a great recovery for Angie.
