TSR Staff: Thembi! @ThembiTV_ _____________________________________ Whew, #YG’s weekend started with a different kind of turn up when the cops turned up at his LA home at 4 am. According to @TMZ_TV, armed police showed up to YG’s home early Friday morning with a search warrant. _____________________________________ YG is currently in police custody and being transported to a jail to possibly be held for robbery. _____________________________________ It is unclear if this raid and arrest is in connection to a murder case YG’s Escalade was recently connected to. If you remember, YG’s SUV was involved in a high-speed chase in July 2019 which ended with someone inside the vehicle shooting and killing a 65-year-old man on a bicycle. _____________________________________ YG’s home was already raided in connection to that case however, and–click the link in our bio to read more ????: @gettyimages

As of now, authorities have not released any details in regards to his charges.

He is set to be arraigned on Tuesday, and it is unclear whether or not he will still perform in honor of Nipsey Hussle at the Grammy’s this weekend.

“I was nowhere near the scene of this incident and had been recording studio all day in Hollywood. I was there until after midnight on the Fourth of July and didn’t learn of these events until after they happened,” YG said.

YG’s lawyer has also released a statement, denying all accusations following his arrest.

“This arrest is one that caught YG completely off guard because there is no truth to them,” Joe Tacopina said. “YG has no idea what investigators are talking about and we have not been provided with any details. We are learning about this case through the media. Rest assured, my client will be cleared of all charges, if they even survive past the arraignment.”
