Whew! Some folks are hotter than fish grease after last night’s two-hour special with Oprah Winfrey aired in the United States, and they had a lot to say about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, including Piers Morgan.
Though many seemed to be in a frenzy and the two-hour interview doesn’t air until Monday night in the U.K.–Piers Morgan, host of ‘Good Morning Britain’ and a critic of Markle– was extremely bothered by the interview.
“I expect all this vile destructive self-serving nonsense from Meghan Markle, but for Harry to let her take down his family and the Monarchy like this is shameful,” Piers Morgan tweeted on Sunday night.
Piers Morgan also stated Monday on his show, “He’s been spray-gunning his entire family on global TV as Prince Phillip lies in hospital,” said Morgan, adding, “I see right through them,” and that “Prince Charles has been bankrolling that couple for the last 5 years.”
“America is trashing our country and trashing our monarchy now,” Piers Morgan added.
While Meghan and Harry received a bit of resistance from those in the UK, they have received a considerable amount of support also. “Seeing her speak so openly about it is really liberating, which is why I think a lot of young people, particularly a lot of Black people, care so much,” Nadine Batchelor-Hunt, a British journalist said, the New York Times reports.
As previously reported, Meghan and Harry wedded in 2018. In 2020, they left the U.K. to live independently, and in 2021 they confirmed the would not be returning as working members of the Royal Family.
