#Roommates, the fallout from Chrissy Teigen’s explosive cyberbullying scandal involving Courtney Stodden, who was a teenager at the time, continues to spiral, as multiple retailers are permanently distancing themselves from her. Popular U.S. retailers Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s are the latest companies to officially end business with Chrissy Teigen, due to her role in a cyberbullying incident that has recently resurfaced.
@Newsweek reports, despite her public apology a full decade later, the consequences of Chrissy Teigen’s old tweets have now officially impacted her business. Both Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s are the latest retailers to terminate business with Chrissy. Her Cravings Cookware line is also no longer carried at Target, although reps for the company confirmed that they ended business with her prior to the scandal. The public fallout appears to be far from over, as inside sources reportedly believe that Chrissy’s television appearances could also be in jeopardy as a result of the scandal.
Earlier this month, Chrissy Teigen took to her favorite social media platform, Twitter, to formally apologize to Courtney Stodden for the shocking tweets she sent her back in 2011 and 2012 when Stodden was just 16 years old. The tweets Chrissy wrote stated that Stodden should kill herself. Stodden also revealed that the cyberbullying also included DMs. “[She] wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die,'” Stodden stated in a previous interview.

In her tweeted apology, Chrissy wrote:
“Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past b****** in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that… is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel.”
However, while Courtney Stodden says she accepts Chrissy’s apology, she confirmed on Instagram that Chrissy had never reached out until the tweets recently resurfaced:
“I accept her apology and forgive her. But the truth remains the same, I have never heard from her or her camp in private. In fact, she blocked me on Twitter. All of me wants to believe this is a sincere apology, but it feels like a public attempt to save her partnerships with Target and other brands who are realizing her ‘wokeness’ is a broken record.”
As of now, Chrissy Teigen has not publicly responded to the news of her business partnerships ending.
