The conversation about the artists Nicki Minaj decides to collaborate with continues to be a hot topic. As you know, Erica Banks recently ruffled some feathers when she said she was hurt about being ignored by Nicki, while Nicki worked with other girls she [Erica] feels cannot rap. Coi Leray laughed while retweeting the video, and recently TMZ caught up with Coi to speak further about the situation.
When asked about her thoughts on Erica’s statement, Coi said,
“You know, you gotta let b****es play the back, you know what I’m saying? Like sometimes you can’t even feed into negative energy, like…at the end of the day, what you put into this earth is always going to come back to you. What you put into this world, will come back to you. So if that’s the energy she wants to put out there, that’s the energy she gon get. We all know wassup, like come on.”
Coi made it clear that Erica was definitely taking a shot at her during her interview. She told TMZ, “Definitely was a shot at me because we got a collab.”
When it comes to whether Coi thinks Erica might be jealous, she said,
“I think that people are still learning, and as an artist, even myself, as an upcoming artist, you go through a development stage and you learn a lot. And I feel like she just might be at that stage. You know, God forgives, so in the future, you know she might look back at it and might want to be like, ‘you know what I wish I would have looked at things different, I apologize, I want to go about things differently.’ That’s what a real b***h would do, not a rap b**h, a real b**h. Period!”
Nonetheless, Coi made it clear she doesn’t care about Erica, when asked if she was mad, she said,
“I don’t give a f**k about Erica Banks.”
As previously reported, Coi retweeted a clip from Erica’s statement on the “Big Facts Podcast,” and laughed about it. The statement comes after Coi and Nicki dropped their hit record “Blick, Blick,” which is featured on Coi’s new album “Trendsetter.”
Erica first expressed her disappointment in not working with Nicki back in March. After Baby Tate expressed the same sentiments, Erica agreed with her statements, and then made a video explaining that she was blocked by Nicki on Instagram for agreeing with Baby Tate.
