Lebron James is giving back to the hometown that raised him in a major way!
Through his Lebron James Family Foundation, he plans to send students in the program to college free of charge!
He is pairing up with the University of Akron and will provide a guaranteed four-year scholarship for students in his I Promise program who qualify.
As many as 2300 children could benefit from Lebron’s generous ways, the tuition runs about $9500 per year.
In a statement yesterday he said ” These students have big dreams, and I am happy to do everything I can to help them get there. They’re going to have to earn it, but I’m excited to see what these kids can accomplish knowing that college is in their futures.”
Kudos to Lebron for setting a great example and giving back to the youth!
