For some time now, the streets have been talking and it has been rumored that there could be a discrimination lawsuit coming Bravo’s way. Some people may have thought that Nene Leakes would be a part of filing the lawsuit, but a rep for Nene says that is not true.
According to TMZ, Nene’s rep says that she is in no way involved with taking any legal actions against Bravo, nor is she teaming up with other women of color to sue the network for discrimination.
The rep continued to state that Nene is focused on getting to the bag, and also her newly announced show “Glamsquad Showdown,” which will appear on E!. The rep reportedly added that she is also negotiating with Bravo on potentially coming back for another season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” She’s currently focusing on expanding her role in the NBCUniversal TV-sphere.
TMZ reports that a spokesperson for Bravo said they were unaware of any lawsuit.
Some people assumed that Nene may have been involved with the rumored lawsuit as she has expressed herself in the past about receiving unfair treatment.
As we previously reported, back in May, Nene addressed her walking off after the last reunion show for “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” She posted a statement to her Instagram and said, “It only felt right to personally REMOVE MYSELF from the reunion! So much had happened this season! (the cookie lady, Mark & Kenya’s fake marriage, Dennis accusations, Snake gate, and much more) but drilling me on subjects, muting me, flashing back to things that had happened since the show has wrapped (like my relationship with Wendy while in quarantine.”
She had also spoken to People where she said that things needed to change behind the scenes for Season 13. She told the magazine, “If they value their talent in some sort of way, then we need to talk. We need to come up with some sort of compromise here.”
Last week, while talking about the filming for the current season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Cynthia Bailey was asked about Nene’s return, to which she responded and said that she had not filmed anything with her, nor seen her. So she wasn’t too sure what was going on.
