Roommates, one of the unfortunate realities of social media is that people are free to express their opinionsregardless of how wrong, misinformed or ridiculous they are. Actor Christian Keyes recently had to let an online troll know the consequences for typing your opinion, as he dragged them for criticizing his support of black women.
If you spend enough time on social media, youre bound to encounter someone who pipes up in your comments disagreeing with something you posted, that has absolutely nothing to do with them. If youre anything like Christian Keyes, you probably took a deep breath and then proceeded to read them for filthin the best way possible.
Christian recently posted, black women are definitely superheroes on his Instagram page and unexpectedly a woman decided to try and correct him by writing *all women as a response. She probably didnt expect him to notice and respond to her comment, but he did and it was glorious.
Christian responded to her with this:
I said what I said Its a shame that we cant even celebrate black women without others popping up talking about what about usjust because somebody says something positive about black women, it doesnt mean that they dont think the same about other women. It just means that here in this moment right now, I would like to say something positive and amazing about black women. If that offends you, then you are part of the problem. God Bless
He also added:
Just because you celebrate or compliment one particular ethnicity, doesnt mean that other ethnicities arent great It just means that RIGHT NOW, In this moment, Id like to acknowledge the greatness of black women It doesnt mean your entitlement, insecurity, or inner bigotry should flareup This statement shouldnt offend anyone else and if it does, then YOU are the problem, NOT my statement… #ISaidWhatISaid Black women are definitely superheroes.
