A&E Announces Two New Documentaries On The Notorious B.I.G And Tupac Shakur

If there is one thing that is for sure, it is definitely that the legacies of the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur will live on forever.

With numerous film projects surrounding the two late rappers currently in the works, A&E announced two new documentaries on both the Notorious B.I.G and Tupac Shakur, which will air next month.

According to Rolling Stone, “Biggie: The Life of the Notorious B.I.G,” is a two-part documentary that is scheduled to air on A&E on June 28th, with the second part airing the day after on June 29th.

This is the second documentary that has been authorized by Biggie’s estate, with the first one being “One More Chance,” which is produced by Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace and directed by the Mallory Brothers.

A&E also announced a six-part limited series, “Who Killed Tupac?” which places focus back on Tupac’s 1996 murder. The series, which launches on June 29th, will revolve around civil rights lawyer Benjamin Crump reexamining key aspects of Tupac’s unsolved murder.

Elaine Frontain from A&E said, “The late Christopher Wallace and Tupac Shakur continue to impact the world two decades after their tragic, unsolved murders and there is still a public longing to connect with these figures.”

Some of the other projects based on Biggie and Tupac include a documentary about Tupac directed by Steve McQueen, a USA “True Crime,” scripted series, and the “All Eyez On Me,” biopic which releases in theaters on June 16th.
