Alexis Ohanian Says He Has No Problem Being Known As Serena Williams’ Husband—“I’ll Be A Self-Made Billionaire One Day”

Roommates, while many celebrities marry someone who is equally as famous as they are, some take a different approach and find love with someone who has a more low-key spotlight, such as Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian. Replying to a user on Twitter, Alexis Ohanian made it very clear that he has absolutely no issues with solely being known as the husband of tennis legend Serena Williams.

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian have been married for four years, have a daughter (also named Alexis) and seem happier than ever—and Alexis doesn’t care if much of the world refers to him as Serena’s husband despite his own impressive success in the technology world.

When a fan wrote him on Twitter, stating “I love how you don’t mind that they call you Serena Williams’ husband.”

He expertly responded, writing “I’ll be a self-made billionaire one day and most people will still know me as Serena’s husband (or Olympia’s dad) and that’s fine by me.”

He added even more to his sentiment over on Instagram when he screenshotted the Twitter exchange and posted it with a caption that read, “TBH I’m hoping to be known as @olympiaohanian’s papa.”

Alexis, a co-founder of Reddit and former board member, resigned from the board last year due to the desire to have his seat filled by a Black candidate.

At the time of his decision, he stated “I have urged them to fill my seat with a black candidate, and I will use future gains on my Reddit stock to serve the black community, chiefly to curb racial hate.”
