Roomies, y’all remember when Alexis Skyy said she was starting her spiritual journey? She first announced the life update on Instagram back in February 2023. Well, now she’s saying that the whole rebrand was just to impress a man she was dealing with at the time.

Alexis Skyy Reveals Why She Went Through A Spiritual Rebrand
In a recent interview with Pastor Jamal Bryant, Alexis Skyy spilled the tea on her spiritual and soft girl era. The reality star admitted that while her faith wasn’t fake, she was dating someone at the time who influenced her to dive deeper into her spirituality.
“My encounter with God was real. But I was so [focused] on being a wife and being loved on and being wanted. So I was like, ‘Okay, well, I have to change who I am in order for this person to accept me.’ And I was more so focused on that than my walk with God. I was doing it more for what that person wanted,” Skyy explained.
Alexis kept it real, saying she’s still grateful for the person because it wasn’t about her not believing in God; she just wasn’t fully tapped into her spirituality.
“It was more so like, ‘Okay, Alexis, are you really ready for this?’ And I more so wasn’t ready. And it’s not saying that I wasn’t ready to walk with God. I just wasn’t doing it the right way,” Alexis added.
Additionally, she went on to reveal that she was changing herself for somebody else and not for herself. “I don’t regret it because that was what was supposed to happen.” She also mentioned that she’s only been accustomed to a certain lifestyle, so folks on social media can’t fault her for showing and doing certain things.

At the time, she shared that it hadn’t been easy, and every day, it got harder for her because she was used to living a certain lifestyle. However, she went on to say that she wasn’t giving up and planned to keep going.
