Allison Holker has released an official statement after an intense few days of being a trending topic. We’re only halfway into the week, but this is the second time she has addressed social media concerns about the intimate details she’s revealed about life with her late husband and his alleged drug addiction. Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss passed away in December 2022 from self-inflicted harm. He was 40 years old.

In her statement, she addressed the upcoming release of her book ‘This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light.’ She addressed Stephen’s family, friends, and supporters on Instagram Stories and shared that she hopes to help another family with her book. She admitted that she will “never really know what happened” and that she’s trying to put the pieces she can together.
“If you decide to read the book, hopefully, you’ll see my intention is to celebrate the love and life I shared with Stephen and our three beautiful children, and also the more complex aspects of both of our lives. I hope that by sharing our full story maybe I can help someone else who might see themselves or a loved one in Stephen.”
Allison added that she hopes sharing can help another family “catch some of the red flags” she missed before it was too late. Holker also clarified that her writing relied on two years’ of talks with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and The Defensive Line (a mental health community). The book proceeds will benefit Move with Kindness, her foundation in honor of her husband. Swipe below to see the entire statement.
“My hope is that we don’t need to lose another husband, brother or father or friend to suicide. I believe that if Stephen were able to choose, he would choose to have his story told if it meant saving even one life. Much love to all those who have supported our family these many years.”
What Led To Allison Holker’s Second Statement
From the looks of it, Allison appears to have already kicked off her press run for the book’s release next month. Social media has been popping off since PEOPLE released a sit-down with Allison earlier this week. In it, she reveals finding drugs in Stephen Boss’ closet while cleaning it out and picking out a funeral outfit.
Social media wasn’t feeling the honest hour, and neither was an alleged cousin of Stephen Boss’ named Darielle. The relative made bombshell accusations on X (formally Twitter) about Allison keeping her and tWitch’s kids away from the family and making loved ones sign an NDA for his funeral. Darielle also accused Holker of “trying to tarnish” Stephen’s legacy.
Allison has yet to address the cousin directly. However, she replied to another user who said she was disgracing Twitch with her PEOPLE interview. “Just trying to help people feel safe to ask for help and support,” she wrote in a comment section.
