#Roommates, you better think twice before you swipe! At least that’s the lesson to be taken away from this cautionary tale involving #LaurynHill. Apparently, the iconic songstress racked up a huge credit card bill and American Express wants her to run them their coin!
According to @Bossip, Ms. Hill has allegedly run up a credit card tab to the tune of $371,892.39 with #AmericanExpress. In the court documents, American Express alleges Lauryn was billed for “the price of goods sold and/or services rendered,” but bailed when it came time to pay for her bill.
American Express also alleges they have tried to collect payment on several occasions but she “often refused.” This news comes just as another report surfaces of Lauryn cancelling her Sugarland concert appearance due to an illness. Not only was her performance postponed, but it seems the new date is now May 2019. Needless to say, fans were extremely upset once they found and took to social media to go off. Lauryn also took to social media to address the postponement saying: “I am extremely tempted to make today’s show happen. I anxiously waited as long as I could, hoping my voice would show up again this morning, but the strain is still apparent and I can’t do further damage to it.”
