An Amazon Delivery Driver Was Caught On Tape Deliberately Spitting On A Package

Of the essential employees that are still working, I hope this one bad apple doesn’t spoil the bunch with his disgusting and unsanitary behavior. With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, an Amazon delivery guy was caught on a person’s security camera spitting on a package and appearing to use his hand to smear it, according to TMZ.

The incident happened Thursday night at a residence in Los Angeles’ Hancock Park neighborhood.

In the video, you can see the delivery guy set the package down on the porch, lean over and spit on his hand before appearing to wipe his saliva on the package. He then stands up like that just didn’t happen and takes a photo to verify the delivery.

An Amazon customer service rep who revealed they were horrified by the vieo confirmed that the delivery guy was from a third party service and that he has since been reported but it’s possible that he may be back on the job today. An Amazon spokesperson had this to say on the matter: “We have high standards for delivery service partners and expect every package to be handled with care. We’ve notified the right teams internally and will work with the customer directly on matters related to their package delivery.”

A neighbor posted the delivery confirmation photo — with a strong note to Amazon — and the image they shared clearly shows liquid smeared on top of the box.

“Not so great @amazon. I’d like to believe this was an honest mistake. PLEASE make sure your staff is educated and is taking all the necessary precautions!” the message read.

Amazon is reportedly supposed to get back to the aggrieved party by Monday.

Roommates, how do you think Amazon should handle the situation? Let us know!
