It looks like the Reese family is adding another pro baller to the mix! One familiar face from college hoops is leveling up with one of the NBAs most legendary franchises: the Los Angeles Lakers. With his sister, Angel Reese, already dominating the professional court, it was only a matter of time before Julian Reese carved out his own highlight reel.
Julian Reese, the younger brother of Angel Reese, has officially signed a free agent contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. After going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, the 6-foot-9 former University of Maryland standoutis making his own plays. The news was confirmed by ADS Sports Management, the Minneapolis-based agency that represents several Division I athletes.
“Big congrats to Julian Reese, who will head to LA with the Lakers!” the agency wrote in a social media post on Instagram.
Angel has stepped into full-on big sis and boss mode as Julian gets his shot at the league. You already know shes giving him that real talkmixing sisterly love with seasoned pro advice. From staying focused under pressure to putting in the work, Angels letting him know how to move on the court.
“Youve got to maximize it because you dont get these opportunities twice. I told him to show up first and make sure youre at the front of the line for drills,” she revealed to reporters. “He doesnt have the opportunity to slack off. He has to maximize it and really push through and really show his all, because its now or never. I think he has a really great opportunity, especially with the Lakers and what they need in the front court.” Angel concluded with, “I text him everyday… I’m really happy for him and proud of him.”
