What’s The Big Game That Everyone Has Been Talking About?
The Atlanta Dream came out swinging and made sure the Golden State Valkyries knew they weren’t leaving without a fight! Atlanta wasted NO time taking control inside a sold-out State Farm Arena, jumping out to a 32-point lead in the first quarter and setting a new record for the largest first-quarter lead in WNBA Finals history. By halftime, the Dream were still comfortably ahead, 46-26.
Golden State attempted to make things interesting in the third and fourth quarters, but Atlanta wasn’t about to let the momentum slip. Key shots down the stretch helped the Dream maintain their advantage, with their lead reaching as much as 25 points before closing out an 80-69 victory. Now, both teams are headed to California for the historic Game 7 on Oct. 31, with the series tied 3-3 and each franchise still chasing its first WNBA championship. Chile, somebody’s championship dreams are about to come down to ONE game!
