He is also surrounded by four women—who appear to be the families of the two men lost in the recent car accident in Nigeria. One woman holds a framed photo of one of the men as they all look into the camera, capturing a mix of strength, grief, and solidarity. In another photo, Anthony sits next to a man in a white tank top and gray pants, who wraps an arm around the champ while pointing at him. Anthony keeps it simple, raising one finger. Driver Charged After Crash Expected In Court
The driver behind the crash that injured Anthony Joshua and tragically killed two of his team members has been hit with serious charges, Nigerian police confirmed. Adenyi Mobalaji Kayode, 46, was behind the wheel of the Lexus SUV on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway when it slammed into a stationary truck. Additionally, the crash left Joshua and the driver with minor injuries. Meanwhile, it claimed the lives of Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele, two members of the champ’s training crew.
The Ogun State Police Command said Kayode was arraigned in Sagamu Magistrate Court on Friday and charged with reckless and dangerous driving causing death. Additional charges reportedly include driving without a valid license, and driving without due care and attention, resulting in bodily harm and property damage. He was granted five million naira ($3,500) bail but will remain in custody until he meets the conditions. Furthermore, his next court date is set for January 20.

What We Know About The Fatal Crash
In December, a car crash involving Anthony Joshua shook the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, leaving the boxing superstar with minor injuries. The Lexus SUV carrying Joshua reportedly lost control while speeding during an overtaking maneuver. Furthermore, it collided with a stationary truck, according to Olusegun Ogungbemide, spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps. Joshua, seated in the back, was taken to a hospital for checks and treatment and was in stable condition, with another passenger also injured.
Lagos State’s Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed that ambulances were dispatched to the scene, while Nigeria’s president, Bola Tinubu, personally called Joshua and his mother to offer condolences over the deaths of his two associates and to wish the champ a speedy recovery. Ogun State Police Commissioner Lanre Ogunlowo told the AP that Joshua had still been in an undisclosed hospital receiving care. However, no further details on his condition have been released.
