#Roommates, when the coronavirus first began to spread in China, it was immediately expected that Apple products would be severely impacted—especially the popular iPhone. Well, Apple has found a way to please customers by giving them the product they want by not putting a dent in their wallet, as many continue to face financial struggles.
@NBCNews reports, Apple just announced a newer, cheaper iPhone SE—which is the first time the company has launched a new phone without the promotion of its popular keynote events. The $399 iPhone SE will come with 64GB of storage on the base model, 128GB of storage on the middle model for $449 and the top-tier 256GB model that costs $549. Each iPhone also includes a free year of Apple TV+, which is the company’s new streaming video service
The original iPhone SE originally launched back in 2016. Pre-orders for the newer version begin on April 17th and it can be expected to arrive by April 24th. The iPhone SE has many of the same features as the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, but the outside is almost identical to the 2017 iPhone 8. Unfortunately, since most Apple Stores are closed you customers won’t be able to try the phone in person before buying it. To help you decide, just refer to the iPhone 8, which will officially be discontinued.
As the coronavirus outbreak has brought businesses all over the world to grinding halt, Apple is facing the challenges of launching a new phone in a landscape where millions have lost their jobs and are continuing to face financial hardships. There is also the issue of production delays that hit its manufacturing facilities in China. However, Apple seems confident it will be able to meet demand for its new iPhone SE.
