Earlier this month we reported that 19-year-old Ashanti Billie was reported missing in the Norfolk, VA.
It is now being reported that her remains have been found.
According to WTKR, the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County Police Department announced that the human remains found in Charlotte, NC on Friday have been identified as Ashanti Billie.
Martin Culbreth, Special Agent in Charge of the Norfolk Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, said, “It is with deep regret that I inform the community that Ashanti Billie has been located, deceased, in Charlotte, North Carolina. I, along with the entire investigative team, offer our most sincere condolences to the Billie family, especially Ashanti’s parents Brandy and Tony. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.”
It’s been reported that Billie’s remains were found behind a church.
She was last seen on September 18th, and her disappearance caught the attention of others when she didn’t show up to work nor any of her college classes.
Her vehicle was later discovered in Ocean View in Norfolk and her cellphone was found in a dumpster near Tallyho Terrace.
