On Wednesday, April 17, footage surfaced of Ashanti appearing as a guest during a panel. In the clip, the singer is seen rocking a blue, shape-fitting dress.
At one point, she stands up and turns to the side, showing off her baby bump and caressing her hands over her stomach.

Then, on Thursday, April 18, Ashanti took to her Instagram Story to share a clip of her in the same dress as she stood on a balcony overlooking a beach. In the clip, Ashanti basked in the sun while showing off her tropical view and giving fans a closer look at her baby bump.
Additionally, the singer tagged Nelly’s Instagram account in her post and added a heart and prayer hands emoji.

As The Shade Room previously reported, social media users initially began speculating that Ashanti was expecting in December 2023. At the time, the pair popped out for a black-and-white gala event, and footage later surfaced of Nelly putting his hands on the singer’s stomach.
Then, on Wednesday, April 17, Ashanti confirmed the speculation by releasing a video and officially confirming that she was pregnant, per The Shade Room.
Later that day, the singer’s exclusive interview with Essence was published. While speaking with the outlet about her newfound journey in motherhood, Ashanti revealed that she is also now a fianceé.
“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation,” she told the outlet. “Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancee, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
