Atlanta Rapper Omeretta Expresses Her Disappointment In Not Being Chosen For Lil Baby’s ‘On Me’ Remix

Atlanta Rapper Omeretta Expresses Her Disappointment In Not Being Chosen For Lil Baby’s ‘On Me’ Remix

A lot of Omeretta fans have been waiting for the Atlanta rapper to blow and get the recognition she deserves.

So you can imagine their disappointment, as well as her own, when Lil Baby announced that Megan Thee Stallion was the featured female rapper for the remix of his song ‘On Me’ instead of Omeretta.

To give y’all some context, a little more than a month ago, Lil Baby blew up social media when he tweeted that he was looking for a female artist for the remix to his popular song.

The question alone garnered more than 27,000 comments on The Shade Room, and while thousands commented to nominate their faves, Omeretta took her shot by directly responding to Lil Baby with, “If it ain’t me keep it.”

She followed up her tweet by dropping her own freestyle to the record and from that point, sis became a fan favorite and top contender for the opportunity.

Lil Baby even cosigned Omeretta’s rhymes on her page, which only added fuel to the fire, but Omeretta exclusively told us that his team never reached out to her in regard to a possible collaboration.

Fast forward to Tuesday, Lil Baby dropped the remix along with the visual with none other than Meg, and while it’s definitely giving bopiana vibes, Omeretta fans couldn’t help but let it be known that they were hoping this would be her moment.

“Lil Baby pissing me off he keep putting all the wrong people on remixes! GAH DAMN! We wanted Omeretta muthaf***a!,” one fan tweeted.

Omeretta seemingly agreed with her fans, having this to say about the ‘On Me (Remix)’: “I’m happy y’all seeing this s**t for what it is.”

She also stepped into The Shade Room saying, “It be ya own city smh.”

Lil Baby has yet to respond to her nor her fans, but maybe this will open up conversation about a collab between the two in the future. We’ll keep you posted.
