A viral dispute over a trash can reportedly escalated into physical fights, family brawls, and criminal charges in a North Carolina neighborhood. Ayla Clayton and her next-door neighbor, Twindalynn Harris, reportedly got into it after a trash bin placed near a driveway escalated tensions between them, leaving their families coming to blows.
Now, The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is looking into what happened and the subsequent criminal summons on ‘TSR Investigates.’
How A Trash Can Dispute Turned Into A Wild Neighborhood Brawl
According to Carter, earlier this year, doorbell footage captured Twindalynn Harris placing her trash can near Ayla Clayton’s driveway. Moments later, footage captured Clayton moving Harris’ trash can away. From there, Harris reportedly called the police.

Per Clayton, she informed the cops of what had gone down. In turn, the officer reportedly instructed her to try speaking with her community’s HOA. However, by the time the next trash day came around, tensions continued to escalate.
Ultimately, the incident resulted in Clayton sustaining multiple bruises to her face.
“I was bringing my trash back around the back — I leave my trash in the back door. And she came out, and she said, ‘I saw your videos.’ And she just came on me and attacked me,” Clayton explained in a recording.

According to Carter, Twindalynn Harris then filed a police report — despite being the alleged aggressor. In the report, she alleged that Ayla Clayton attempted to hit her but failed. However, the series of events did not end there. At that point, Clayton’s sister pulled up to Harris’ backdoor, also ready to throw hands. From there, Harris called her family members, who apparently wanted some action as well.
