We are sending our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ashley Gerren Taylor. Many of you may remember her as a cast member on the BET hit reality series “Baldwin Hills.” The show aired on the network from 2007 through 2009.
The unfortunate news of her passing was first reported by Gossip of the City. A source revealed to us that Ashley Gerren Taylor, who was professionally known as Gerren Taylor, passed away yesterday at 4:30 am in her sleep due to natural causes at the age of 30. She battled with Lupus disease and was on dialysis at the time of her death. However, she had various health issues and Lupus was not ruled the official cause.
Those who watched Gerren on “Baldwin Hills,” may remember that she was also a model, entrepreneur, and over the years she had become a mother to her 7-year-old daughter. Her castmates gathered yesterday evening in remembrance of her.

We last caught up with Gerren and her castmates in 2019, 10 years after their show officially aired. And when we talked to Gerren about what she had been up to since the show last aired, she said to us:
“Nowadays I’m enjoying mommy-hood. I have a beautiful baby girl named Miyoko Amor who is 5. She is my whole life and takes up all my time lol. Now that she’s a little older I’m venturing out more. I’m working on my online children’s boutique ‘Miyoko’s Closet,’ selling the cutest kid’s clothes and accessories, and I’m starting my management company back up called TaylorMade Models. I also work exclusively with a few Hollywood clubs PH Day Club & Ballet Hollywood. I’ve recently gone back to college to fine-tune my business expertise and improve my craft. I’m super busy and blessed at the opportunities God always presents to me.”
Ray Cunningham, who appeared on BET’s hit show “College Hill,” shared a video of him and Gerren as he mourned her passing.
