Roommates, we are sending our prayers to Presidential Candidate, Bernie Sanders. It has been revealed that he was hospitalized on Tuesday following an event in Las Vegas.
According to CNN, Bernie’s senior advisor, Jeff Weaver said, he was experienced “chest discomfort,” on Tuesday and his upcoming events have been canceled after doctors have treated a blockage in his artery.
Jeff continued to say in a statement, “Following medical evaluation and testing he was found to have a blockage in one artery and two stents were successfully inserted. Sen. Sanders is conversing and in good spirits. He will be resting up over the next few days. We are canceling his events and appearances until further notice, and we will continue to provide appropriate updates.”
Bernie, who is 78-years-old has been going hard in the paint this time around as he runs for president.
According to ABC News, the event that Bernie was at before experiencing his chest pain was a Las Vegas shooting memorial. Prior to that, he reportedly held seven events back to back, over the course of two days while in New Hampshire.
The news of his hospital stint comes after he announced he raised $25.3 million in Q3, which is reportedly the largest quarter for any Democratic candidate this year.
We continue to send our prayers to Sen. Sanders, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
