Bernie Sanders Reveals That It’s “Very Unlikely” He Will Ever Run For President Again

Following dropping out of the 2020 presidential race and endorsing his former opponent Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders has now made an announcement regarding his political future. During a recent interview, Bernie revealed that there is likely no chance that he will ever run for president again—news which his supporters likely won’t be very happy about.

@USAToday reports, in a livestream interview with Robert Costa of the Washington Post, Bernie Sanders was asked directly whether or not he will throw his political hat in the ring for another round on the quest for president—and his answer is a definite blow to the “Bernie Bros.”

Bernie explained, “I think the likelihood is very, very slim at that. I think the next time around you’re going to see another candidate carrying the progressive banner.” However, he offered a small glimmer of hope when he said, “Let’s not be a media person worried about what’s going to happen four years from now.”

Bernie Sanders initially ran for president back in 2016 and again in 2020, both times on a progressive platform advocating for universal health care, making colleges and universities free and raising taxes on the wealthy.

At 78-years-old, he was the oldest candidate running in the current presidential race—and would have been the oldest president ever elected had he won.
