It has been over a year since the passing of Prince, but his legacy has been preserved in many ways.
Now a new picture book about the music icon will release later this year. The book, “Prince: A Private View,” is by Afshin Shahidi, who was a close friend to Prince for 20 years and also his photographer for 10 years.
Shahidi, who is the father to “Black-ish” star Yara Shahidi, shared the cover of the book and also thanked Beyoncé for lending her voice to the book and honoring Prince.
Entertainment Weekly shared a peek of Beyonce’s words, in which she said, “Truth be told, the word ‘icon’ only scratches the surface of what Prince was and what he remains to me.”
The photos in the book will feature captions that will reflect the friendship of Shahidi and Prince and feature candid photos, staged photos and never before seen photos.
“Prince: A Private View” will release on October 17th.
