Blueface’s dad hopped on Instagram, asking fans for prayers and sharing his hope for his son’s release today, Friday, August 9.
In the video shared to his Instagram Story, Johnathan Sr. appears in a house filled with some of Blueface’s memorabilia. The father then expresses hope that the judge will go easy on his son.

“I’m hoping and praying that the judge shows him some mercy and some leniency and free him today. I need y’all to pray up for me. Help me pray for Blueface and let him out today. Free Blueface. Let the famous cr*p free,” Johnathan Sr. said.

More Details On Blueface & Chrisean Rock
Blueface’s dad has kept fans updated about his son’s time behind bars through Instagram.
In July, Jonathan Sr. shared a video asking for prayers for his son and Chrisean Rock to be released from prison.
Blueface has been in jail since turning himself in on January 12 for allegedly violating his probation. According to TMZ, his probation breach relates to a September 2021 assault case in Los Angeles, though the specific details remain unclear.
As for Chrisean Rock, she has remained in a California jail since June as she waits for her transfer to Oklahoma. Recent arrest records indicate that authorities completed the transfer on August 7 at 9:17 p.m. local time. Consequently, a new mugshot of Chrisean has gone viral on social media.
Now, the 24-year-old sits in jail facing charges for “distribution of a controlled substance, possession with intent, and possession of a controlled substance without a tax stamp.”
Earlier this week, XXL reported that Chrisean could receive a sentence of up to eight years in prison for the Oklahoma charges.
