Bob Saget’s Family Reveals He Passed Away Due To “Head Trauma”

Last month, Bob Saget, 65, died unexpectedly in his sleep. On Wednesday, his family released a statement that provides a cause of death, CNN reports.

“The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep,” the statement said. “No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

The family also stated that they are “overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love,” and it has been “a great comfort” for them. The family also stated, “Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us,” the family continued. “As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”

Following the news of his passing, Bob’s “Full House” co-stars expressed their heartbreak on social media.

John Stamos took to Twitter and said, “I am broken. I am gutted.  I am in complete and utter shock.  I will never ever have another friend like him.  I love you so much Bobby.”

Candace Cameron Bure, who played his eldest daughter on “Full House,” and the show’s reboot, “Fuller House,” shared photos of them on set together and said, “I love you sooooo much. I don’t want to say goodbye 💔. 35 years wasn’t long enough.”

One of Saget’s last Instagram posts, he spoke about having a good time and his show in Jacksonville, FL. The comedian stated, “Okay, I loved tonight’s show @pontevedra_concerthall in Jacksonville. Really nice audience. Lots of positivity. Happened last night in Orlando last night at the Hard Rock Live too. Very appreciative and fun audiences.”

He continued writing, “Thanks again to @comediantimwilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a two-hour set tonight. I’m back in comedy like I was when I was 26. I guess I’m finding my new voice and loving every moment of it. A’ight, see you in two weeks Jan. 28 & 29 @pbimprov with my brother @therealmikeyoung – And check for my dates in 2022 – – Goin’ everywhere until I get the special shot. And then probably keep going cause I’m addicted to this s**t. Peace out.”
